Ready or Not: 2021 PROTECTING THE PUBLIC’S HEALTH FROM DISEASES, DISASTERS, AND BIOTERRORISM

This newly-released report by Trust for America’s Health (TFAH) is designed to give policymakers and advocates actionable data to improve their states’ emergency readiness. It calls for $4.5 billion in annual spending to rebuild the public health workforce and invest in public health infrastructure nationwide. It was found that twenty states and the District of Columbia were high-performers, 15 states placed in the middle preparation tier, and 15 states placed in the low preparation tier.
