Nursing Program Director

Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM seeks applicants for a Nursing Program Director. This is a 12-month tenure-track faculty position with ¼ administrative release. Salary will be commensurate with academic training, degree and experience. Under supervision of the chair of the Health and Human Services Department in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Nursing Program Director is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the ENMU BSN Completion and MSN Educator Programs. This is a residential appointment and campus presence is expected.

Duties include teaching, academic planning, curricular design, program development to include coordination of undergraduate and graduate Nursing Program catalog revisions; ACEN accreditation compliance; hiring and supervision of faculty, staff and student employees; budgeting, financial expenditures, and managing resources for the Nursing Program.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Unencumbered New Mexico RN license or eligible for New Mexico Licensure.
• Earned PhD, EdD, or Doctor of Nursing (DNP) degree.
• Master’s degree in nursing.
• Exhibited strength in program administration, curriculum design, and research.
• Minimum of three years teaching experience with demonstrated leadership ability.
• Minimum of three years nursing practice experience.
